Sacred to: Hecate, Saturn
Indigenous to: Mountainous regions of Mediterranean countries; later introduced into France, Italy and by the Romans to Britain and as far north as Norway. Early colonists brought it to America. Best quality is from England.
Symbols: Anointing, balancing, banishing, clairvoyance, cleansing, consecration, happiness, healing, love, luck, lust, money, offertory, passion, peace, prosperity, protection, psychic, purification.
Common Uses: Tea brewed from dried lavender flowers is said to be mildly sedative
Lore: Aoumiel calls it attractive to elves. It was believed if you carried this, you would see ghosts.
